This year's featured speaker is Paul Greenwood, Deputy District Attorney in San Diego, California with 31 years of experience. He has specialized in the prosecution of elder and dependent adult abuse and has successfully prosecuted over 400 cases of both physical and financial abuse. He has been featured on both CBS and NBC news programs.

The Domestic Violence Advisory Council of Kern was established in 1999 by the Kern County Board of Supervisors and placed under the umbrella of the Kern County Network for Children (KCNC) as an issues-based collaborative. Our yearly conferences and trainings are focused on “Coordinating a Community Response to Family Violence”.The collaborative partners recognize that promoting healthy, non-abusive families and relationships is not the sole responsibility of agency service providers. Successful intervention depends on a consistent coordinated community response designed to hold offenders accountable and make victims safer.
